After 100 Years The Boy Scouts Will Now Admit Girls, Allow Them To Become Eagle Scouts

For more than a century, the Boy Scouts of America have been a group that offered boys practical training in teamwork and leadership while also offering them survival skills.

Over the years, the Boy Scouts of America have been praised for many things – like treating all boys who joined equally, regardless of skin color or financial stature and for offering a safe haven for young men to escape to if they felt alone or had trouble at home.

The Boy Scouts also offer many scholarships to help young men pay for college and the awards that can be earned also come with some fanfare.

The one thing the Boy Scouts of America have been criticized for is not allowing girls to join.

That all changed on Wednesday.
