During a common Florida downpour, two boys from a Jacksonville-area elementary school did something that can be described as anything but common.
As the rain picked up and became heavier, Davis and Helmuth, part of Coppergate Elementary’s safety patrol, stayed outside in the rain while others took cover.
Why? Because they felt there was something very important that they needed to do to the American flag.
When asked why she posted the photo online, media specialist Kim Miskowski said: “They were folding the flag reverently. They were reverent. And they were doing 13 folds … and you know, our country is in a little bit of turmoil … it just struck me.”
