When you think of philanthropic celebrities, you probably think of Ellen Degeneres or Angelina Jolie.
They aren’t the only celebrities giving back; Elton John, Paul McCartney, and Bono have been among the top celebs associated with several dozen charities for decades.
What are the chances you would name Matthew McConaughey?
He very well may be on your list, but he likely wouldn’t be near the top.
Maybe he should be.
McConaughey and his gorgeous wife ]Camila founded the Just Keep Livin’ Foundation in 2008. The charity “is dedicated to empowering high school students by providing them with the tools to lead active lives and make healthy choices for a better future.”
The non-profit also seeks to transform children into good adults through “programs that teach the importance of decision-making, health-mental, physical, and spiritual – education, and good all-around active living.”
What he did recently for a community in Kentucky was pretty special but what makes it stand out, even more, is that his act of kindness is how he celebrated his 48th birthday.
