However, a few coins were mistakenly minted from copper planchets (or metal discs) and those 1943 Copper Pennies are worth the big bucks. Again, condition and authentification are crucial (there are a lot of fakes out there), but if you’ve got a drawer full of loose change somewhere, you may want to start looking.
